Personal symptoms are: intense itching, red rash at top of legs which is gradually spreading further and further down thighs, skin looks thicker as though I have a layer of extra skin on top, skin is very scaly and pitted, skin is sometimes flakly and sometimes red raw with soreness, especially sore in skin folds, most itchy at night and I stratch when I am asleep.
Please note the doctor told me the area was damp and moist and that was a factor. I confirm the area at the top of my legs is NOT damp and moist. I am a very slim, unsweaty person and only really pespire if I do strenuous exercise. Also, I am quite bow legged which means that my legs do not touch at all at the top unless I cross them. Further, I have been given so many thrush creams it is driving me insane, they do not work so it cannot be thrush.
Medical History:
I used to get alot of bouts of tonsillitis when I was 14-20. I had anti-biotics regulary for these years. I had CN3 which is a early form of cervical cancer, but all smears in last couple of years have been clear. I do sometimes suffer from constipation and have produced bloody stools on occasion. Apart from this I have a fairly good bill of health (touch wood). I do not get many colds or flu (although I did have a terrible flu fever over Christmas). I am 31 years old, slim build, 5 ft 4 in, good appetite, strong nails, relatively fit. I am a light smoker (3-4 per day).
What aggrevates the condition:
If only I knew!!! I cannot find a single trigger factor. I have tried eliminating various foods such as wheat and dairy. Also, alcohol. I use sensitive skin products only (have started using liquid parrifin/white parrifin to wash with as prescribed by specialist - making it worse). For example, on the night of my last birthday I had a small dinner party. Lovely evening, food was a moussaka, red wine, cigarretes. Went to bed, no real intense itching, woke up and could hardly walk for the cracked sore skin at the top of my legs. Each step was SO painful. Too painful to wear trousers, so wore skirt with no underwear so no rubbing took place.
I don't think the problem is particulary aggravated by stress. I have very stressful and demanding job but can have a hard day and the condition is fine. I am currently off work on leave (just dossing around happily), and the condition has flared up badly.
Is this any help. I have tried to give as much information as possible - I'm not really familiar with homeopathic medicine, as you can probably ascertain.
Look forward to hearing from you. Very grateful for your help.
