The concept of miasmatic etiology represents the highest point of homeotherapeutic thinking and differentiates homeopathy from all other approaches to healing. I would add that concepts regarding diathesis also come into play in connection with miasms, and that both of these considerations should always play a prominent role-yes, the leading role-in our analysis of any chronic or constitutional case. My point in my earlier posting was that fortunately we often are giving an anti-miasmatic remedy even when we have not taken the miasmatic indications into account in the choice of that remedy. It goes without saying that we should always be on the lookout for miasmatic (and diathetic) indications in any presenting case, especially in chronic conditions, and that it is much better to CONSCIOUSLY incorporate these indications into our search for the specific homeopathic medicine.
