I have never been taught to give remedies one after the other, but each to his own. My teacher prescribed remedies when needed, and in single doses, so that the baby receives as little as possible, to avoid provings. On the other hand, it must be kept in mind that the child inherits the miasmatic state from the parents and thus any remedy prescribed on that basis will also eliminate that miasmatic state in the baby. In another post I have mentioned that I was taught to administer a dose of Sulphur in 50M potency directly after birth to the baby, and to follow up with Calc.c. in the same potency 2 days later. Calc and Sulph are each other's complement and follow well. The calc.c. was repeated at 2 weeks and at 2months - all given to the baby. If the mother recieves constitutional treatment, there is no harm for the baby, provided single doses are administered and not repeated quickly. My son was breastfed for nearly 6 years. he began with solid foods by his own will at about 2 years of age and has no allergies, is hardly ever sick and very big (i.e. tall and sturdy) for his age. I gave his mother maybe 4 or 5 doses of her constitutional during those first 2 years. It has not done him any harm. I have also seen mothers being dosed with different remedies, rahter frequently, to the detriment of the baby's peace of mind and consequently the parent's as well. So if you take it easy on the dosage, both of you should be safe. What you described in the other post, with the Ignatia, is not necessarily very good. Take a dose and wait - the mind also has return of old symptoms and should be given time to go through that.
