You need to read Hahnemann's Chronic Diseases Book on this subject.

Within each person lays 7 generations of miasmatic imprints.
A classical homeopath can see these verry clearly when doing case analysis with deep chronic ilnesses.
We are the end result of what out family genetics have donated.This means not only physical traits,but defects in DNA,psora/sycotic/syphl/tub traits manifest via symptoms.
Its a complex but verry interesting subject-one of my favorite in homeopathy.
