I know some eminent cardiac surgeons who save the lives of patients in emergencies by performing the required surgery and shift to homeo therapuetics once the emergency is over.
The formal training in modern medicine does help in understanding the common symptoms of the disease, and help the homeopath to discount them and look for the uncommon symptoms that individualise the patient.
So if someone really wants to pursue homeopathy seriously after a formal education in modern medicine, that should be welcomed.
