To me that doesn't sound like the kind of problem that you solve with any kind of drug, natural or pharmaceutical. Sounds like the kid just wants someone's attention, or maybe he's searching for a deeper connection with one of his parents.

I'm not meaning to sound like a dick or anything but you're the parent, he's a 9 year old. Take charge of the situation and figure out why he's acting the way he is.
