Dynamization question!
Hello everyone!
I recently decided to try homeopathy - I'm in my early 30s and have battled adult acne for the past 9 years or so. I'm now consulting with a homeopath who is actually in a different country, but we consult in long phone conversations (I decided to do the long-distance thing because she comes with an extremely high recommendations from family members).
Anyway, for the past 3 weeks I've been taking Sulphur 6CH 3x a day, 5 globules diluted in water each time. I got worse at first and am now slightly better, though I still get acne - just in smaller frequency, and most pimples don't grow to be as large. She has also recommended a series of dietary changes.
My question regards dynamization because in our last conversation, she switched me to a 2x daily dose of Sulphur instead of 3x, but included a different method, saying - if I understood correctly - that I should dilute the 5 globules in water, then take only a large spoonful of this sulphur-water mix and mix it in with a quarter glass of pure water. Then I would take this last one. At least, this is what I think she said, I'm not trying to second-guess her but I'm not sure I understood fully & it sounds somewhat counterintuitive....unfortunately for me, she is on vacation until next week so I thought I'd ask someone in the know here.
Does the practice I described sound correct, or did I perhaps misunderstand? She said soemthing about this creating a dynamization....is this dynamization? I did some internet research on it, but dynamization seems to involve machines, alcohol, and turning/shaking many times. Also, will it not be less potent to dilute a single spoonful of the mix in water, taken only twice a day, as opposed to a 3x daily full dose that isn't diluted a second time?
Thanks very much for your insight; in my doctor's absence, this will be a great help to see if I'm doing the right thing.
Cheers,
Jack.
