Common name is black gunpowder. This remedy can be used in low to high potencies. Works sometimes better than e.g. Hepar sulph. in some (serious) cases.

Keynotes for using it in all animals from small ones up to horses are :

--Conditions relating to sepsis

--Abscesses

--Blood poisoning

--Bite wounds

--Infected cuts

--Osteomyelitis (esp. in horses)

Modalities : None listed.

Remedy interactions : Works well with Hepar sulph., Silica/Silicea and Thuja.

Principal indications : septic skin infections, septic wounds, abscesses, wounds that refuse to heal (!), suppuration, prophylactic use in preventing wound infections, splints where there is secondary infection.
