Complicated skin problem cases, such as this one, can`t be done properly online because a vet. hom have to examine, see, feel, smell etc. the animal him/herself and also speak to the owner him/herself to ask him/her many (relevant) questions in order to be able to select the correct remedy/remedies. More than 100 remedies are possible for eczema/skin problems.
Another reason for not doing this online are the several necessary follow-ups and monitoring of the case often over a very long period, even up to a year or longer.
So one must always be sure that a certain vet. professional is (and stays) present on a forum to properly finish the case, which is not always possible, because professionals on forums are not employed by forums but usually only help out there temporarily as volunteers giving free advice. Moreover, vet. homs/hom. vets doing free advising/prescribing on forums are very rare and that`s also one of the (other) reasons why the possibly one or two volunteering vet. homs can`t take (many/all) full cases all the time.
