Another important main remedy for patients with thyroid problems is Calcarea iodatum (= Calcium iodatum).

This remedy is most suitable for people who feel light-headed, as if their head `isn`t there`. They may be indifferent to life and disinclined to work. Key conditions linked with this remedy are enlarged tonsils honeycombed with pits, glandular swellings and fibroids. Adenoid complaints accompanied by frequent colds in children may respond to this remedy, as may thyroid enlargement during puberty. In certain cases the glandular swellings may become cancerous.

Other important Calc. remedies are : Calcarea fluorica, Calcarea phos., Calcarea silicatum and Calcarea sulfuricum (sulphuricum).
