Hi Karen, This information is in the Organon,

one part substance to 1/3 of the 99 parts milk sugar, grind for a few
minutes, add more milk sugar (the next third) as that becomes fine,
alltogether grind for 15 minutes, scrape mortar and pestil for 5 minutes,
grind for another 15 minutes, scrape again for 5,(by this stage you will
have all the milk sugar in there) and repeat with the last 15 minutes of
grinding and 5 minutes of scraping

It is one hour for each step.

I do it in front of a good movie on TV and put both the mortar and pestil
INSIDE a plastic bag, if you do not do that, you will get powder all
over everything, you the room, etc.
