Default How much of the past is important?

Hi,

I know when talking about yourself to a homeopath you should mention previous illnesses or traumatic incidents in the past but what about previous likes/dislikes or mental/physical characteristics that have changed.

For example I couldn't eat onions as a child without retching but now I can, or 5 years ago I could take the cold but now in the winter I have to sleep with socks on, or i used to suppress my feelings but now i've learnt to talk about them. Just how much of this is relevant?
