Default infection in root of molar

help! had root canal on bottom right molar in october, but has now started to cause a lot of pain. seems the dentist didn't get to the very root and that infection is possibly brewing there. have been given antibiotics (amoxycillin) to kill infection with hope that root canal can be reversed and sorted properly, but would prefer to sort it homeopathically.
symptoms are:
shooting pain down through tooth whenever any food or drink comes into contact with it. (feels as if i badly need a filling)
occasional shooting pain with intake of breath.
tooth marginally uncomfortable if apply pressure from either side, partic from outside, and from top.
dull ache (fairly low grade) in lower jaw, sometimes in upper jaw too (possibly the trigeminal nerve..)
seems to be getting worse.

want at all costs to avoid extraction.
any advice very welcome.
thanks
rosanna
