Default Case taking in times of calamities...

Hi,
Many months ago I had come accross a very useful guidelines for case taking in times of calamities (I can't recollect the source to give them the credit). With so much happenning around us-The Tsunami, Katrina, Rita, Thyphoon Damrey.... Heres the infromation being reproduced a instant aid for classical prescribing:
Every tragic calamity causes two reactions

1) Primary
2
)Secondary

Considering reaction of various individual and taking, the thermal and mental state we can prescribe for the individual.

Following is the guideline to be followed:

1) Ailment from – cause

2) Reaction to the situations

3) Mentalattitude at present

4) Thermal thirst and other generals

What was the reaction?

1) Ailments from Shock:

Many individual who had experienced the sudden shift from life to death, the relatives who were there and next moment they are not there. The sudden change, from life to death, from prosperity to poverty, from believable to unbelievable, from happiness to gloom, may have rendered many people shocked.

2)Ailments from fright

There was no guarantee of anybody’s life. People saw buildings crumbling down like pack of cards and many have those memories still in the mind.

3)Fearof fright

Those people, who just cannot forget what happened on that black day. Even today they shudder, weep, or tremble at the slightest or unimaginable experience. They do not want to go to the spot where they work. (Ailments from fear or fright)

4)Ailments from anticipation

Almost all individuals even those whose homes still stand erect are afraid to go into their homes and houses which have crack, have fear and anticipation, that similar earthquake can come again. Irrespective of their financial status, everybody is sleeping in the tents and camps, bearing weather, but not willing to go into their house and anticipating a similar tremor again.

5)Ailments from loss of loved ones
Ailments from Grief
Ailments from bereavement
Some have lost their kith and kin. Some have lost either mother, son, daughter, grand parent, grand children……… and some all of them.

6)Ailments from loss of money
Ailments from loss of social position

Some people, who considered themselves to be high above than others in the social status due to their money power, have been equated ruthlessly by the fury of the quake to bring them in the same tent, where their servants and others whom they considered inferior, share the same tent and food. So there may be people who may be having financial loss, loss of property, loss of social position….

7)Ailments from anger

The aid though flowing in from all the parts of world, but it has not reached them due to various reasons, including breakdown of communication. Breakdown of transportation, discontinuity of rails and roads, and due to mischievous elements, have caused lots of anger in certain people.

PHYSICAL:

Ailments from head injury, bone injury can be seen with naked eyes has to be considered.

SECONDARY REACTION: (after the calamity)

Reactions of the constitution:

Some has panic,
Some were dazed
Some did not stop crying
Some never cried
Some want help
Some deny help
Some are averse to help

Some say nothing is the matter with them
Different types of reaction will come from different type of constitution. Reaction by the individual to the situation has to be considered and arrived at the right similimum.
