Thank you once again for the advice re dubai. Ali Qureshi - so am I to understand that I would legally have to pass the exams before I could practice, even if I am already a registered member of a UK association? Do you know how long this process takes please? If I am only to be out there for a year then maybe I would be better off putting my practice on hold.

Bluebubble - I have a diploma in homeopathy (after 4 years study!) and a practice in the UK already. You are right though that at present there is not really any law to prevent anybody from setting up as a homeopath. There are a number of registers and associations in the UK, which certain standards are required to join, but there is no obligation at present to join any of them. This should all change in the next few years with the introduction of a single register and voluntary regulation. Hope that answers your question.
