They only used a drug for a couple of weeks...and I think you're right about poor training..and the breed of the dog. The dog probably needs to be on a farm running around all day. Then he'd be too tired to jump on people. But I think the dog feels bad about his jumping..otherwise he wouldn't so easily relinquish his freedom by going upstairs...all one has to do is open the door to upstairs and he goes...automatically..don't have to say a thing.
