Hi Lynn,
the remedy wuold be an injury remedy first, unless there was a reason why this happened to him. Eg: if he has middle ear infection or a blocked eustacian tube (due to infection), that has to be treated as part of the problem.
If this is an acute condition, I'd suggest hypericum and calendula for pain and healing. But check out if there are any clear modalities for apin that indicate anything different before you give them.
