The uptake for the first shots are about 93%, but it drops back to 86% for 2 year olds. However, when we have an epidemic, if you listen to Nikki Turner it becomes 62% and if you listen to Ossi Mansoor it becomes 75%. The reality is that they haven't counted the heads since 1992.

However, if you listen to the New Zealand medical Journal, the area I live in has the highest immunisation rate in the country, Rotorua has 91.14% for the whole schedule, and Christchurch boasts 94% for their district.

So there you go. Surely counting heads can't be that hard???
