I think if a good similimum is found, it can certainly help. But would need high potency and frequent repetiton, even 2-3 times a day during symptomatic periods.
The problem then is to find the right, central similimum.
these cases are always difficult and require great talent and insight on the part of the practitioner to recognize the homeopathic similimum.
I don't think you'll find what you are looking for in your first post.
Also You could look under the rubric Clarivoyance for the remedies, but its the whole picture that finally counts in the choice of a remedy.
I think you can read recent books by people like Ian Scholten, Rajan sankaran who bring out the psychological eccentricities of remedies (and their symptoms in the MAteria MEdica) and hence make them easier to recongnize in mentally ill patients.
Having said that - often there are physical general characterisitcs that may actually guide one to the accurate similimum.
