Whoops, caused a bit of fuss ! You may be left wondering about the dose rate I recommended. Be assured you can use such dose rates with confidence. These dose rates are usual in Europe which is where I practice. You might ask then which is correct? and the answer happily is both are! European dose rates are different, not wrong. (You might be interested to know that the same difference of opinion has been going on since early the last century) It is also interesting to note that the father of homoeopathy, Samuel Hahnemann left instructions to future homoeopaths in his book, The Organon. In it he states that the homoeopath should select the correct medicine suitable for the case and give it at the correct potency and 'frequency'. This word he chose carefully, as he did all words and it leaves the homoeopath to choose the number of times the remedy is given to arrive at a cure. Again the 'European' dose rates may be different from those you are used to but they do work and you will find them advised in books by experts such as C Day, G Macleod and H Wolff.
Back to Hahnemann again; he also told us in all cases to try our best to remove the so-called 'Obstacles to Cure' i.e. those other things we need to fix to help the case along. This was the basis of my advice to you on teeth and diet. If I ever dare to give advice again you will find that removal of these obstacles is always high on the list. Sometimes you don't even have to use a remedy (e.g. a lonely dog gnawing at itself may be better helped by getting another dog!)
Finally, you may have read human homoeopathy advice about always taking remedies into a clean mouth with an absence of strong tastes. Who knows what's the situation in your dogs mouth at the time of dosing, which is another good reason for repeating the dose. Anyway, no further lectures and I hope she gets better quickly.
