Well, those are good questions indeed. Even on these boards, you will be able to catch many of the posters suggesting a remedy based on an allopathic diagnosis. It is evidently difficult to stay true to the scripture. As for the pharmacist in question, the answer is easy: He/she is mainly interested in selling a product.
Since I am already taking liberties, I might as well take one more: I have noticed that all homeopaths, be they kosher or even very un-kosher, will consistently claim as with one mouth that it works. So the efficiency of homeopathy seems the same no matter how you practice it
