This patient should be tested for diabetes. Some of the symptoms are indicative of diabetes and there is a family history for the disease. If patient has diabetes, he is in risk of irreversible long-term effects if he does not come under treatment.

I know it is not popular to say this, but: You taky a serious liability on yourself if you let time pass experimenting with remedies while your patient incurs irreversible damage from an untreated diabetes.
