chronic urticaria
Hi,
Would like to hear peoples experiences with treating chronic urticaria. I have had it since puberty, I'm now 37 and it has been worse since my son was born 3 yrs ago. It is triggered by cold air, cold water, anything cold but also by exercise, and is all over my body. I cannot peel potatoes in water or sort out the fridge/freezer without it appearing. I have an intense need to scratch it when it appears, which I usually do on upholstery for fear of drawing blood with my nails.
It first appears as red blotches and the longer it goes on, then looks like the classsic nettle rash with white rised bumps. Even in summer, if my body is not at an even temperature all over, I get it in the colder parts. So as long as I am warm, it doesn't happen.
I've been taking quercitin and bromelain mixtures, high doses of vit B12 and garlic, I'm still just about breastfeeding so havent touched echinacea yet.
Was given psorinum by a homeopath about 2.5yrs ago which didnt do the job.
Be intersted to hear from others.
