THANKS FOR THE LINKS - I was in Chicago for a while (I guess to see thunderstorms... ) but don't think she found someone (the autistic 5yo hasa baby sister now-so she is probably quite busy).
I recommended that she read Amy Lansky's book - to believe it is possible to cure autism (as all drs of course made her believe otherwise).
