If what you say is true (and you wouldn't know, as you're neither the patient nor the homeopath who's treating the patient), the remedy is palliating, but not curing. It may be a close remedy, but not the best remedy for the case.
It's possible a miasmatic influence may be getting in the way of the patient's ability to heal completely.
Case has to be retaken and re-analyzed, and a new remedy should be given.
I'm sure the homeopath this patient is working with is aware of this.
