Regarding CHARACTERISTIC in homeopathy, I read an article by G.V. Keller who explains it in an excellent manner, inline with the above mentioned definition, you can ask Albert for it or if you want I will be glad to provide you its copy.

I have read your article also and as per my understanding, yes, what you have mentioned for Ars is a characteristic symptom and when found in a patient, will guide you towards Ars.

Whereas your assumption that Numerological and combinability make a symptom CHARACTERISTIC seems incorrect to me.
