whopingcough is a cyclic disease, which runs in three stages
prodromal
active, endbit.
The endbit(third stage) is characterised by : temperature gone , cough mostly at night , whoooop in between the coughs.
this the normal appearance.

As to remedies:
if there are no complications see if you find under those, what is suitable:

ant-t, Phos, puls, hep-s, spong, sulph
