Greetings! I’ve just added the Boericke "Pocket Manual" to my small library and am sort of rededicating myself to the goal of learning more about the discipline and making homeopathy my primary approach to self-treatment. But I don’t have a practitioner to help me. In my own case it is not super-critical right now. But I have one elderly relative facing advanced metastatic cancer--the allopaths in just this past week seem to have officially given up on her--and another who is fairly healthy but becoming dependent on ibuprofen for a sciatica-type problem.
So I was wondering if someone would be so kind as to advise what do you think is the best way to go about identifying a competent homeopath locally and/or someone who can fruitfully consult via phone or e-mail. We are all located in the New York metro area, for what it’s worth.
I would also be most interested in thoughts anyone has about whether homeopathy can help either of the abovementioned relatives--and if you have tips on persuading mainstream-minded elders to give homeopathy a chance.
A final question: I came across a Web site for a homeopath in New York state who says that he is "board-certified in homeopathy." I thought there was no such thing in the U.S.? He gives his credentials as "D.Ht". Can someone update me on the professional status of homeopathy in the U.S. or point me to a link?
Thanks!
Avalon
