Hi,
I'm very concerned about my mother's remaining eyesight because she has no vision in her left eye (for the past 25 years)being stricken with glaucoma and her right vision is starting to have area's of cloudiness that vary throughout the day. The opthamologist has not found anything. Last year the bulletin board helped tremendously with her osteoporosis problem. The following is some information about her.
Daily meds:
Thyroid med a.m.
Blood pressure med a.m.
Eye drops for glaucoma
Multiple vitamin, calcium, vitamin C
Nexium for stomach acid because of previous ulcer condition
Weekly: Actinol – to prevent bone loss
Some of her history is as follows:
Currently 80 years old
Has glaucoma for the past 25 years – eyesight lost in one eye
Thyroid – radioactive drink about 15 years ago
High blood pressure since about 15 years ago
Gastric ulcer about 4 years ago – treated with antibiotic – Nexium taken for acid
Smoked cigarettes until 4 years ago
Always a very worrisome person / feels sick and sympathetic when listening to other peoples ailments & gloom.
Mother died at 82 – diabetic (adult onset)
Father died at 84 – anesthesia from cataract surgery
Loved her parents, sister & brother. She’s the oldest. Some sibling rivalry but lots of love.
Was a homemaker with an alcoholic husband, 3 children – nervous breakdown in early 40’s/ husband died when she was 48 years old. Took care of grandchildren for income.
Family affected by stress & digestive ailments
She’s always been nervous, nervous stomach, acid indigestion causing weakness
Craves rye bread w/butter, mashed potatoes w/gravy, peas, carrots, chocolate, cookies, ice cream , soft foods
Ideal meal, rye bread/butter & cup of coffee
Hates fruit
Allergy to lobster/shrimp – upset stomach
Not very thirsty, likes coffee, milk not water
Energy is good . Usually takes a few naps.
Prefers to sleep on left side
Energy drained during hot humid weather. Must have air conditioner on. Do not like cold either. Warm, dry the best
Difficult coping with no energy, pain & not being able to do things.
Confident when all dressed up, hair styled, feeling good. Self conscious when not looking & feeling good.
Fear of thunderstorms and death
Would like to be able to change health.
Watch TV to relax, loves her children and grandchildren
She lives by herself and family members visit daily.
3 years ago complained of achey bones, not being able to get up if down.
Doctor said it was arthritis. Diagnosed from xray & blood test as the osteoporosis because the pain became unbearable. The Bulletin Board recommended calc p, mag p, and kali p. She is currently pain free.

I would truly appreciate any suggestions about her cloudy vision.
