If it is not clear whether the children received well-indicated remedies, how can one makes such conclusions?

Feedback from patients is essential for homeoapthic treatment, but if the homeopaths did not know who received what, they would not be able to decide on further treatment strategy - and failure is only natural.

Did the people involved know enough of homeopathy?
