Is there any help in such a case? I had recommended formica rufa as a palliative but it didn't help much. I think it is too late for a deep-acting remedy like phos or sil.
Symptoms are (besides normal symptoms of the disease: falls down often, difficult to get up etc)
loss of hair
does not want to have his hair brushed
desire for movement despite of pain
hates bathing
eats snow and earth
restless at night - changes place
likes to lie in the sun
flatulence bad odour
former diseases: balanitis, conjunctivitis

Former remedies bryonia, dulcamara, rhus. He got formica d12 2times, each time a short aggravation followed by a short amelioration, no reaction after the 3rd dose. He is livelier and "talks" a lot, and loses less hair , the owner says

Personally: I have not much hope. I 'd rather say it is a torture for the poor dog.
