i had help from the local LaLeche League meetings for my very rocky breastfeeding start with my VERY gassy, colicky baby. i eliminated dairy, wheat and the obvious gassy foods from my diet for 5 months. the baby had colic for 4 months and threw up seemingly all that went in - however, that is only a mom's perception and in reality she was gaining slowly, but enough for it not to be a problem. it is surprising how much stays in despite the massive spit ups babies have. you could perhaps take an ounce of water (or milk) and spill it and see how much that is and so compare it to the spit ups. when my daughter was 4 months old, her digestive troubles stopped from one day to the next. for me it was perhaps the hardest time in my life, but i hung in there and kept breastfeeding for 2 years altogether.

in addition to the comments from the others above, i doubt very highly, that your breastmilk is the main culprit. furthermore, i'm very certain that "enriched rice milk" is not nourishing enough for a 4 week old baby. usually, for such a sensitive undeveloped digestive system like your baby's i doubt that anything other than breastmilk would be the best solution. do be careful before stopping to breastfeed, for your child's sake. perhaps a second opinion from another (classical) homeopath is in order ?
