Hi everyone,

I found something very intersting in my second interview with this patient.

As suggested by many people regarding the themes of overachievement, overambitious, reproach, lack of confidence etc probably all could have fit to some extent. But the change has been there only since past few months so there must be something to precipitate it or something else. I kept probing..neither the patient was able to give anything nor was I able to pick anything unusual.

Then I asked ."Have you taken any medicine/treatment in the last couple of months?"

Answer - "Medicine! No I have not taken any. But couple of months back while preparing my research papers, I had started feeling very fatigued. Then a friend of mine who knows some homeopathy had given me some tonic for that. I took it for about a week. Felt fine after that, so discontiued. Apaprt from that I have not taken any medicine."

Q - "What was that tonic?"

A - "I do not know. It was clear alcohol like liquid. I used to take 10 drops mixed in water twice a day."

Q - "Have you ever felt similarly before that?"

A - "No. These strange feelings have cropped up only after I submitted my research papers, approximately 10 days after I took that tonic."

I made the patient call her friend to ask what was given to her and guess what? She had taken Acid-Phos mother tincture for a week!! Suddenly everything fell in place. There had been no change in her life, work, priorities etc. Most likely she has been proving this medicine. There have been some other symptoms to suggest that.

Of all the rubrics and themes suggested, acid phos comes up in many of them. Infact the first suggestion I recd on posting this was ONLY for acid phos (by Geir, aka GM).

I have given the person a dose of acid-phos 1M to antidote the effect of mother tincture. I am waiting for the results. Will share with you how things develop.
