HI Mindy,
This usually means that the CAncer has progressed and this is a "distant metastasis". SHe's in the 4th stage of Ca. Difficult to give any positive prognosis for her. The neurological symptoms mean that she probably has metastasis somewhere in the brain/brain stem as well.
The more important thing is that she was happy with the way she approached her cancer and chose to battle it out. And she's probably not had to deal wtih side effects of radiation and chemotherapy that can be very devastating. A very brave decision.
I wonder though, that homeopathy could have done a lot for her at the beginning.
I don't know anyone who has survived primary liver cancer which is a very fast moving cancer (less than 6 months from detection).
But secondaries in the liver could move much slower, though still with not a very much better prognosis.
I'm sorry.
What she needs now is strong moral support and an enviroment that will keep her mentally at peace.
