Homeoman,

Thanks for your input. You did not mention which book you listed the rubrics and remedies from.

Avascular Necrosis can be caused by many reasons. E.g Sickle Cell Anaemia, Legg Perthes disease, Scuba diving, Drinking too much alcohol etc. they all may be factors that can cause AVASCULAR NECROSIS.

The page you are referring me to just shows a case where AVN had been caused due to Sickle Cell Anaemia.

But, I have got all tests done, and there has been no evidence found of any disease. So the AVN has been termed IDIOPATHIC (reason unknown). And that is not a strange thing, since 25% of AVN cases are idiopathic.

Now what is AVN => The blood supply to a bone is restricted (don't know why and how) and the bone starts dying and ultimately gives way if it is a pressure bearing bone.

In my case, it is AVN of the femur. But luckily, it seems, that the necrosed area is not directly below the weight bearing area. I guess that is why I have been able to sustain so long.

My main question to this post was if I can equate the rubric "HIP-JOINT DISEASE" with AVASCULAR NECROSIS. What exactly does the rubric "HIP-JOINT DISEASE" means? Can "HIP-JOINT DISEASE" be taken as a synonym for AVASCULAR NECROSIS?
