In the "Dictionary of Practical Materia Medica" compiled by Clarke, there is a reference to the disease named "HIP-JOINT DISEASE". (e.g HEPAR SULPH, PHOS ACID, SILICEA).

Does anybody know what the actual reference is to? What is this disease known as in the "modern" clinical language?

I am suffering from AVASCULAR NECROSIS of the FEMUR for the last 3 years (whereas the doctor had only given me 6 months) and I have survived till now by the help of Homeopathic palliatives.
(I chose to call them palliatives and not remedies, is because the problem still exists as it was then). But homeopathy offered me excellent pain management and provided me all the strength needed to carry on till now.

So I am trying to find out if the HIP-JOINT disease rubric holds good for AVASCULAR NECROSIS of the FEMUR also.

Also, are the rubric CARIES and NECROSIS similar?

Does anybody has practical experience on dealing with this disease? I want to specifically know that if a similimum is ever found, should the low or high potencies be used?

By the way, over a period of three years, I have already used STRONTIUM CARB, SILICEA, STAPH, CALC PHOS, & SYMPHYTUM. And these have made me arrive where I am today, and helped manage the case, if not cure it.
