NOSODES PRESCRIPTION:

Other method of prescription are Intrinsic Nosode Therapy or Autonosode Therapy and Foreign Nosode Therapy or Heteronosode Therapy.

Nosodes are indicated particularly for dyscrasia.

NOSODES are preparations produced according to homeopathic processing technique from bodily constituents and metabolic products of human or animal origin, further, from micro-organism including viruses, as well as their components or metabolic products, which are no longer infectious or virulent.

It is believed that during Nosode treatment all other therapies can be reinforced effectively. But no authentic data available.

Administration: Never prescribed Nosode according to the symptomatic similarity. For example, a diphtheria nosode (Diphtherinum) would not be administered for acute diphtheria, but for cardiac disease where similar symptoms are present, as in the case of heart damaged by diphtheria (=symptomatic similarity) or for cardiac disease where there is diphtheria in the case history (=anamnestic etiological similarity)

So, those who are prescribing Influenzinum during Influenza are wrong. My opinion is Influenzinum should be given to healthy person only before acquiring Influenza disease and for effected Influenzic epidemic persons, give remedies according to their symptoms.
