Thanks Anna. I neglected to mention that both the ulcer on the palate and tongue where drained and cleaned and the cat went on antibiotics directly afterwards. I checked his mouth this morning and there is no sign of the ulcers anymore. Given his condition thay will probably reemerge at some point in the same or alternate location. I really don't care about the sores on his body (they are unsightly, but don't bother him), however the tongue growth had become so deeply infected that it literally bored a hole through much of the tongue. This of course effects his eating etc.

I did take him home with me yesterday (I can't even the count the number staying with me at present), but I'm determined to get him on to real food. Right now his condition seems pretty settled, so maybe its best to wait for a flare up?
