I'm sorry that you had such a disappointing experience.
Many people who post on this board have had similar experiences with the homeopaths with whom they have consulted.
They went to someone for a remedy - maybe for an ingrown toenail,(parallel = reiki treatment) & ended up with having to delve into all their past experiences & were given a remedy on the basis of the homeopath's perception of their mental state, when all that was hurting was the big toe & mag pol australis (or whatever repertorized) was all that was needed. I'd be pissed off too!
Does there have to be a delving into the mental state for every physical condition?
Same goes for reiki, there doesn't have to be a delving into the psyche to get a result.
We really have got into over-analysis for a lot of things & much to be said for the acronym K.I.S.S
