I'm not sure I understand that what your saying addresses what I said. I have followed the story of reike from its inception to the teacher who got hit in the forhead with a blast from the past. As reike eventually made its way to america..it cost 20,000 to be initiated into "masterhood"...but the initiators were taught to only intiate the pure. People got greedy and were initiating anyone who had the money. I don't know if it still cost that much...do you? I was initiated by one of the first 20 people initited by the hawaiian woman...but she eventually changed its name to something else..mariEl...and didn't want to be associated with the reiki group because of the above reason.

I went to a reike healer who happened to be a psychotherapist about 5 years ago. I asked for a reike healing. I made it clear that was all I wanted. She had me fill out a form for the first 45 minutes. Then she wanted to talk about my issues. I told her that all I came for was the laying on of her little reike hands. Well, no...she had to know why and she wanted to set goals for me and blah blah blah. I got snookered into coming back a second time...and I had to go over my whole family relationships...and the last 5 minutes she did some reike. I didn't feel a thing. I only tell you this so that you see I was not prejudiced by what I said in my first paragraph...I gave reike a chance...the women totally interferred and I was pissed at her for a couple of months..because I wouldn't pay her for both sessions and she kept calling me and calling me until one day I told her why I wouldn't pay for the first session. She finally quit bugging me.
