Do you mean you used a flea insecticide on her last night, when she was found wet and weak? Just (!) on top of her head/brain or all the way down the spine as recommended by the manufacturer? Was she in the same living area as the dog that had the same treatment before finding her wet/collapsed last night? Did you use the same substance, is it also for cats?

I think it's a bit late for Acon. Did you give anything at all to her last night other than pesticides? I really doubt her initial problem last night was due to fleas. She had something else more serious going on already and it could have been a reaction to the same stuff used on the dog and being around it.

Cat's purr from pain and with worry, not just from the pleasure of seeing you. Checked her temp? Resp rate? Put your ear under one of her front legs and listen to her heart, count the rate, listen for lung sounds. Check hot/cold to touch, wants comfort or not, to see if she prefers heat or cold, fill two bags, one hot one cold and see if she draws toward one.....or put heating pad next to her, see if she moves toward it. Slight pressure over the bladder area, the kidney area, see if she shows pain response or if you can feel under her, between her legs...for the bladder.....see if full, hard and gives her discomfort. Don't squeeze too firmly.

I hope Dr. Leela, Snoopy or someone is around to advise you tonight. Should base prescription on poisoning....and read Melin's thread about Screamin Mimi. I would think in lines of Ars, Nux V, Carbo V, Camph, Op......now is the time to use Rescue Remedy while you are figuring out which remedy to use.

Look at the ingredients of the poison used and see if there is a number to call. Call their emergency number. Call Cornell University feline/vet poison hot line. Post back the info on the package with the active ingredient, in case a homeopath checks in. These killer substances contain a variety of things including permethrin, methoprene and something called Biolar, an insect growth regulator. Washing (especially just rinsing off) animal really doesn't remove it entirely, that's the point....very long lasting.
