I've used them a lot and they work very well. They require a LOT of repetition, but if I'm stumped in a case, I sometimes resort to them to help things out in the interim. The important thing is to understand the spiritual depth of these remedies otherwise one may not use an accurate remedy in a case.
Homeopathic remedies, the similimum, to be exact, are much deeper though, so I wouldn't consider these as an alternative to homeopathy, but definitely supplementary.
