Dear Danielle,
If Hans and I agree on nothing else, it's that pain should stop within 2 days, not a month.
I remember when my daughter had a horrible cough 2 years ago, it had gone on for like 3 weeks and was getting worse. We took her to a homeopath. The first remedy he gave--Tuberculinum--did nothing and she was getting worse. We returned a week later. "She's no better," I said. I made the mistake of telling him what remedies I tried; Drosera, Ipecac, Ant-tart....He totally got furious! "Don't you know you're supposed to wait a month?" I said--sheepishly--"But this is an acute. She'll be over it in a month anyway; but she shouldn't have to have this for a month...." Something I said must have registered with him cuz he agreed to retake her case, and this time he prescribed Causticum cuz she made a point of saying cold water made it better. In TWO DAYS, the cough was 50% better. In no time it was gone altogether.
So, this should give you an idea of what's supposed to happen.
