Dear Shirley,

I made the "You're no Princess Shirley!" reply to another post; someone who was ranting and raving, I can't remember now what his problem was.

Anyway, yes, Hahnemann says in the Organon, you can't possibly know who's sensitive and who isn't, so start everyone on a low dose. I gave my sister's cat, with arthritis, Rhus tox 30C, and the cat nearly died! But the next morning, made a full recovery; but my sister was furious, and I haven't heard the end of it. But a homepathic vet, a long time ago, did give my dog with spinal arthritis Plumbum 1M, and I had him put to sleep the next day! Because the aggravation was so severe, I thought he was dying, and, if I had known about "aggravations", maybe I would have waited a little longer; but it's just the point that as a profession, we pretty much start every case with a 200, 1M or 10M and I think that's really reckless, as you can see with what happened when you only gave a 30C and your patient broke out all over.
