Sorry about the babies. And that I haven't much to offer in advice. I have so seldom gotten in any kittens. Mostly older throw aways or ferals.

What little I have seen (mostly Macleod) mentions remedies like Ars (acute, when looks like poisoning, not necessarily diarrhea), Acon 10M, Phos 30 (if vomiting continues after trying Ars or heading toward pneumonia), Bapt (congested intestinal mucosa with hemorrhage, non responsive to previous remedies, oral dusky look), China 6 (dehydration, weakness), Pyro (septic, to stabilize both pulse and temp, give high such as 1M, once every hour up to 5x), Canth 1M(intestinal inflammation, peritonitis [hardness of abdomen, severe pain on pressure over affected area), Iris V 30 (to follow up after acute symptoms are controlled by other remedies) and Crot H 30(much blood lost in stool).

Anna, this is a viral enteritis that can show as colic (arched back, stretching out hind legs, abdominal pain with crying out) followed by or accompanied by severe vomiting, usually with thirst but also with difficulty drinking/lapping, sunken eyes, anxious expression and sternal recumbency (they look like a tight meat loaf). You may well disagree with the suggested potencies, it is just what I've read. It is not uncommon (right or wrong, I can't say) for vets to use really high potencies. I don't know what makes me think this but I feel cats, particularly, do well on higher potencies. Seems I read something, somewhere, about them being harder to get responses from than other animals and people. Likely a figment of my imagination. Or justification, as I have often used Acon 10M for cats that just don't look right, know something is wrong but nothing much showing yet, and then nothing develops.
