Denise makes a good point, that sometimes you can successfully take a remedy to stop a physical problem but then you find yourself worse on a deeper level, which means you've actually taken the wrong remedy. This, in a nutshell, is how modern medicine works, and they're very proud of it, thank you very much! Symptom removal, at any cost!
But here has been my experience with acute homeopathy: the wrong remedy simply doesn't work. The right remedy is the one that works, and usually the first sign is a welcome feeling of calm on the mental/emotional plane.
Our best homeopaths have written numerous books on acute prescribing for the general public, meaning that they fully expect you to take care of such things as nausea during pregnancy. I believe Miranda Castro has such a book out that many on this board have recommeded for pregnant women. (Visit

If a person is throwing up constantly, you have to treat it. If the herb teas work, that's great.
But don't be afraid of homeopathy.
