Hi all,

I have a friend who has listened to me talk on about homeopathy and how it's worked for me. I told her about this site, and how there are many doctors who can give suggestions. She is in her first month of pregnancy, and this last week she has been very ill.
She just received a prescription for Diclectin from her physician today, and it is to be taken before bed, 2 pills. They tell her that it is safe for the baby. I know someone else who had the same meds, and had a healthy baby.

If anyone gets a clear picture from these symptoms, please help. I will print this out for her so she can see for herself. Question, how safe is homeopathy during the first trimester? I used it in the third.

She and husband have tried for over 10 years to get pregnant.

All day nauseated, has vomited, and dry heave, no particular trigger

no appetite for anything, ice cold water is good, and watered down apple juice

worse for warm, stuffy room. normally a cold person who likes the warmth

can't stand sweets, like popsicles she tried

enjoying fruits and vegies mostly, warm soup no good

no relief from lying or sitting

random hot flahes and chills, shivers with chills

nervous, sore and tight stomach from vomiting

tried to drink milk, but diarhea from it

38 years of age, concerned about the health of the baby, because of her age, that if the son or daughter has any disabilities that she won't be able to care for in the long term, like 20 years or more from now. We worked together for some years supporting adults with mental disabilities, and that is where this idea of long term support for the child if
needed comes in. We've seen people miss out on allot as they have aging parents. I don't know how relevant this info is, but thought I would include it. She's worried and wants to have all tests available to ensure healthy normal child, she won't keep it if there's huge health problems.

Anyway, after all that, I hope that someone can help. I started to look in my books, but
thought I would try here first.

One more thing, Will any remedy antidote the meds, or will the meds cause the remedy to be less effective?

I appreciate any help I can give my friend in need.
