There is already a preference you can set in 'My Profile' - "Keep your email address viewable to others when you post notes?" If you set this to 'No' then your email address is not shown when you post. That should be sufficient indication that you do not wish to receive outside emails.
I cannot stop people sending emails to anyone they wish, and you always have the delete button. What concerned me here was the number of anxious mails I received following the mails by Dr Mas.
Please note that it is NOT a violation of the Rules of this BB to send an email to someone. It is a violation "to use this BB to post any material which is ...invasive of a person's privacy". I regarded Dr Mas' use of the email addresses obtained via the BB as that in the circumstances.
I am always willing to consider representations from the person suspended; I have received none...

No, certainly not. It means what it says - one person using more than one identity, especially when they reply to themselves!! It is not a game, and one reason for the distress caused by Dr Mas was that he was already playing with Members of this Board in his postings. Why the dishonesty?

Dr Mas had five, all eliminated. No-one else to my knowledge is abusing the system by generating replies to themselves. There are a tiny (single-figure) number who have two registrations for good and valid reason, and who do not abuse the privilege. The criteria are simple - I approve of their reason for wishing to do so, and they respect the privilege by not abusing it.
Applications, complaints and conspiracy theories to me by outside email please, not via the BB.
