Hi there,
I recently spent 9 months on another board trying to get better, unfortunately all that happened was, I put on 28 lb from being given the wrong pills that caused fluid retention (Nat mur) but have since lost 14 lb by using the Eat right for your type diet written by Dr Peter J D’Adamo.
Also, the day after I was told to take Ac Phos 200C, 2 tablets, I awoke with terrible pain in both legs, from just above my knees to my feet. I still have that pain today. I don’t know if it was the tablets, or just a coincidence. The most annoying thing about this pain is bending my knees, and walking short distances really hurts.
For over 5 months I was taking 2 T Udos oil mixed with 2 T cottage cheese, 2 Tfreshly ground flax seeds and 1 T flax seed oil. Have stopped taking the Udos oil because it had not made any difference, and is very expensive, but the remaining 3 ingredients I still have for lunch.
I have also been taking supplements like shark cartilage, some B Vitamins, magnesium, etc, Chondroitin/glucosamine, glucosamine sulfate, none of which have made any difference.
In order are the tabs I was told to take during that 9 month period:
Phosphorus.....30C
ditto..........LM1 in vodka
Nat mur........30C
ditto.........200C

Calc phos.......6X
Nux vomica.....30C

All this stems from a silly little fall I had just over 5 yrs ago.
I thought I was ok, but, that night the pain set in.
So called experts said I had damaged all my muscles.
The next 3 yrs I spent going to Chiropractors, Physios, Osteopaths and most others, you name it I have probably had it.
To date, the only pills that have helped me are Aropax, (similar to Prozac) which really amazed the Specialist I now go to.
Anti-inflammatory and painkillers never ever really worked.
For a while the specialist was injecting steroids into the worst areas, mainly the shoulders, lower back and knees, most times they didn't work, or, pain relief was short lived.
I now take no allo meds at all
Mornings are the worst, can only walk a few feet without support, some days that feeling never goes, but when it does, I can potter around doing odd jobs, but for the last few months, since the pain in my legs started, I haven't been able to do any jobs, apart from wash dishes, dust, tidy up etc, menial jobs, if I do try to do something harder, I suffer for at least 2 days.
My Specialist calls it Chronic pain syndrome and likens it to Fibromyalgia. I call it Hell.
I can't play with my grandchildren any more; I can't even lift the baby up.
I am 59 yrs old and prior to this happening, was a very energetic work-a-holic.
My diet is very good, no fat, reasonable intake of fruit, lots of organic veges I grow myself,
don't smoke and don’t drink. I don’t drink tea or coffee, only a drink I make myself called kefir, and juices, don’t use sugar or salt.
I also have arthritis in my lower back and degeneration of the lower spine, which I have had for 40 yrs, also have arthritis in my joints and fingers, but all that doesn't trouble me as much as the aching muscles do.
Blood tests I had taken a few weeks ago to see if there was anything wrong that would account for this pain in my legs, came up with these results.
CRP....C-Reactive protein is very raised, 15 is normal, mine is 33. This test is only just new here in NZ.
ESR....Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate, also new here, though not as new as the above.
Normal is 0-20 mine is 67.
I looked this test up on the internet.
>>>>>the usefulness of this test has decreased as new methods of evaluating disease have been developed.<<<<<
Yet it is only new here, still, we are said to be 20 yrs behind.
I opted for no allo treatment, as the only option I had was more steroids.
Well, I don’t think I have left anything out, I just hope and pray that someone is able to help me.
