The Lyme idea is interesting since shortly before my husband's diagnosis we'd spent the summer in a wooded area. Fifteen years later though it looks like MS to me, but then, I don't know how Lyme disease affects one long term.
He has also regularly had mercury fillings put in his teeth. That is something else that could be involved.
Vaccinations are another possibility. One woman whose daughter has a severe case of MS remembers taking her and her little friend for their vaccinations. They both had reactions. Now, as adults, they both are in the same condition with MS.
